Membership terms

The terms that apply to membership of Bedale Golf Club, including the winter 2026 offer. If anything here is unclear, the office will be happy to talk it through before you join.

Winter offer: 18 months for the price of 15

  1. The offer is open to new members joining on a full membership from 1 October 2026.
  2. Members joining under the offer pay for the full 18-month period but receive a three-month discount, reducing both the monthly direct debit and the overall cost of membership.
  3. Applications must be received by the end of February 2027.
  4. A new member is someone who has not been a member of Bedale Golf Club in the previous 12 months. The offer is also available to Flexible members converting to full membership.
  5. The offer applies to outright and monthly direct debit payment.
  6. The offer cannot be combined with any other membership offer or discount.

Joining the club

  1. All applications for membership are subject to approval by the club.
  2. On joining, members agree to abide by the club's rules and bye-laws and the England Golf rules of play, and to follow the club's course safety, buggy, safeguarding and equality policies.
  3. The subscription year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
  4. England Golf and county affiliation fees are included in playing subscriptions.

Membership categories

  1. Age-based categories (Adult 26-35, Intermediate 22-25 and the Junior categories) are set by the member's age at the start of the subscription year.
  2. Senior rates are available to members in those categories with over 10 years' continuous full membership, or over 15 years for the 75+ and 80+ categories.
  3. Country membership is for members who live more than 25 miles from Bedale Golf Club. Country members must be a member of another golf club recognised by England Golf and hold an active handicap.
  4. Community membership has its own terms and conditions. Please ask the office for details.
  5. Social membership gives use of the clubhouse and its facilities, including a 10% discount on drinks, but does not include playing rights.
  6. Current rates for every category are shown on the membership page.

Payment

  1. Subscriptions can be paid in full or by monthly direct debit, with no extra charge for paying by direct debit. Direct debit payers pay two months upfront, and the monthly direct debit begins in the third month. Community, Flexible, Social and Junior Under 16 memberships are payable in full only.
  2. If a direct debit payment is missed, the club may suspend playing rights until the account is brought up to date.
  3. Subscriptions are not refundable once paid, except at the discretion of the committee. Members paying by direct debit remain liable for the full year's subscription.

Lockers, buggies and the 200 Club

  1. Lockers are available to rent for £36 a year, subject to availability.
  2. Buggy parking is £115 a year.
  3. The 200 Club costs £36 a year to enter and is drawn four times a year, with bigger prizes at the Christmas draw. Members in the clubhouse or on the course when a draw is made can also win an extra prize.

General

  1. Members must keep their contact details up to date with the office.
  2. The club holds members' personal data in line with its privacy policy and uses it to run the membership.
  3. The club may change these terms and its subscription rates. Members will be told of any change in advance.
