Course Safety Notice
All golfers are asked to familiarise themselves with the safety information below, and with the full policy documents linked at the end of this page. Please act in a safe and courteous manner at all times while on the course.
Weather and Visibility
Lightning: If an electrical storm develops, suspend play immediately and take appropriate shelter.
Poor visibility: Do not start or continue play in fog or poor visibility if you cannot see the full distance of your intended shot.
Greenkeeping Staff
Greens staff have priority on the course at all times.
Wait for staff to acknowledge you and move to a safe distance before playing a shot that could endanger them.
Do not assume a greenkeeper will hear or react to a shout of "FORE" — they may be wearing ear protection.
Course Surfaces and Footwear
The course, its steps, and other surfaces can be slippery when damp or wet.
Wear footwear appropriate to the prevailing conditions.
Keep to footpaths and steps wherever possible.
Take extra care entering and leaving deep-sided bunkers and on steeper slopes around the course.
Buggies
Buggy drivers must follow the Club's Buggy Policy and keep to designated buggy routes at all times, taking particular care on slopes and around ditches and deep-sided bunkers, to ensure the safety of all course users.
"FORE" – Warning Other Players
Shout "FORE" immediately if you cannot see the full range of a wayward shot onto adjacent fairways
Do not play until other golfers are out of range.
Before making a stroke or practice swing, make sure no one is standing close by or in a position to be struck by the club.
If your ball is heading toward anyone, shout "FORE" straight away.
If you hear "FORE" — crouch, cover your head with your arms, and count to ten.
First Aid and Emergencies
First aid assistance is available in the Clubhouse.
In an emergency, dial 999. What3words location references are printed on scorecards and displayed on signs around the course to help the emergency services find you quickly. Carrying a mobile phone is recommended so you can call for help if needed.
Defibrillators are located at the Clubhouse reception entrance and at the halfway house (8th green / 9th tee).
Ambulance access point: Main Car Park.
All accidents must be reported to the office and recorded in the Accident Register.
